- The contents of your resume or professional profile that you upload or input.
- The text of Upwork job descriptions that you use to generate proposals.
- The proposals generated by our Service.
2.2. Information We Collect Automatically:
Usage Information:
We collect information about how you interact with our Service, such as which pages you visit and which features you use.
Log Data and Device Information:
Like most websites, our servers automatically collect log data when you use the Service. This may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information.
Chrome Extension Data:
When you use our Chrome Extension on an Upwork job page, the extension reads the job description content from that page to send it to our Service for processing. It only reads data necessary for its operation and does not track your general browsing activity.
3. How We Use Your Information

- To Provide and Maintain the Service: We use your resume, profile information, and job descriptions to generate proposals for you via our AI service provider.
- To Process Transactions: We use payment information to manage your subscription through our payment processor, Stripe.
- To Communicate With You: We use your contact information to send you service-related notifications, updates, and marketing communications (which you can opt out of).
- To Improve Our Service: We analyze usage data to understand how our users interact with Flowposal, which helps us improve the product and develop new features. Your content may be used in an anonymized and aggregated form to improve the quality of our AI models.
- For Security and Compliance: To protect the security of our Service and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the trusted third-party services (our "sub-processors") necessary to provide our Service:
- Vercel: Hosts our web application.
- Supabase: Provides our database and user authentication services.
- Stripe: Processes payments for our subscriptions.
- Google (Gemini API): Our AI provider. The content you provide for proposal generation (like your resume data and job descriptions) is sent to Google's API to generate a response. Google's use of this data is governed by their API terms and privacy policies.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Flowposal and our users, or in connection with a business transfer like a merger or acquisition.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have rights regarding your personal information.
- Access and Update: You can review and update your account information through your account settings.
- Data Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and Your Content from our production systems, though we may retain backups for a limited period for business continuity or as required by law.
- Communications: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by using the "unsubscribe" link in those emails.
6. Data Security and Retention
We take the security of your data seriously and use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect it. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
